B.— Emploi subst. Un antithyroïdien. Substance qui freine le fonctionnement du corps thyroïde :
• 2. Pour la thyroïde, l'hypophysectomie, l'administration d'hormone thyroïdienne, la carence iodée entraînent des images de repos; après l'administration de thyréostimuline, ou d'antithyroïdiens provoquant un effort « à vide », l'aspect devient inverse.
